Proactive operation targets Class A drug supply in Brixton Town Centre

Today, officers carried out a proactive operation to tackle the supply of Class A drugs in Brixton Town Centre.

The operation was led by the Town Centre & Tasking Team, working alongside local neighbourhood officers from Brixton. Both plain clothes and uniformed officers were deployed to disrupt those involved in drug dealing and reassure the local community.

As a result of today's activity, three males were arrested – two adults and one child. The child is now being supported by specialist child exploitation officers, recognising that young people are vulnerable to exploitation by those involved in organised crime.

This is the beginning of an ongoing operation to target those responsible for supplying Class A drugs and those who exploit children for criminality in Brixton Town Centre.
